NetBeans Running on Windows

The EDT Keybindings module may be used with non-OpenVMS platforms. The module has been tested with NetBeans on Windows 2000.

Java Version Requirement
Before Version 1.4.0, the Windows Java environment could not distinguish between the navigation and corresponding numeric keypad keystrokes. For example, the HOME key between INSERT and PAGE UP behaved the same as the KP7/HOME key on the numeric keypad when NUM LOCK is off. With the additional keystroke capabilities of the latest Java version, the EDT Keybindings module is able to avoid this ambiguity.

If you install the module and find that the keybindings are not present, verify that NetBeans is using Version 1.4.0 or later. (To see which Java version is being used by NetBeans, in the IDE choose About from the Help menu and select the Detail tab of the About box.)
