System Requirements

The EDT Editor Keybindings Module is designed for NetBeans for OpenVMS. It may also be used on other platforms.

Keyboard Note The EDT Editor Keybindings module is compatible with standard DEC/Digital keyboards and PC keyboards. Various setup and usage differences apply between the two keyboard types. Please consult Setup Information and EDT Keybindings on a PC Keyboard for details.

OpenVMS Platform

The EDT Editor Keybindings Module requires NetBeans 4.0 (or later) for OpenVMS Alpha. It has the same system requirements as for installing NetBeans 4.0 for OpenVMS.

OpenVMS Alpha Version 7.3-2 or later

Software

Java 2 SDK 1.4.2 or later for OpenVMS
Fast Virtual Machine (VM) 1.4.2 or later for OpenVMS

Hardware

500MHz minimum Alpha processor
128MB minimum RAM
75,000 blocks minimum free disk space on an ODS-5 disk
ODS-5 disk required

Other Platforms

Using the EDT Editor Keybindings Module is possible while running NetBeans on non-OpenVMS platforms*. In all cases, this requires Java 2 SDK 1.4.2 or later. (See NetBeans Running on Windows.)

* Compatibility with any platform where NetBeans is using Java 2 SDK 1.4.x is anticipated. The module has been tested using NetBeans running on Windows 2000.
