It also refers to the Compaq Fortran languageF that fully supports the Fortran 95 and Fortran 90 standards.G o "Compaq Fortran 77" refers to the product that was previously8 called DEC[TM] Fortran and DIGITAL Fortran 77.$ Product Packaging InformationD Compaq Fortran Version 7.5 for OpenVMS Alpha Systems includesC the Compaq Fortran compiler, the Compaq Fortran 77 compiler,G and their shared components (such as the Compaq Fortran run-time5 library system and the FORSYSDEF.TLB library).F Both Compaq Fortran Version 7.5 compilers recognize the ProductB Authorization Key (PAK) for either Compaq Fortran or CompaqD Fortran 77. For example, if you have a Compaq Fortran 77 PAK,F you can begin using the Compaq Fortran compiler. If you install8 both compilers, the command names are as follows:; o For Compaq Fortran, the FORTRAN (or F90) command.F o For Compaq Fortran 77, the FORTRAN command with the /OLD_F77 qualifier.C While Compaq Fortran 77 currently supports a very few legacyG compatibility features not yet supported by Compaq Fortran, Com-D paq Fortran supports nearly all Compaq Fortran 77 extensions.C For more information about Compaq Fortran compatibility fea-G tures, see the compatibility appendix in the Compaq Fortran User( Manual for OpenVMS Alpha Systems.4 License Management Facility (LMF) InformationC Before you can install Compaq Fortran, an LMF Product Autho-G rization Key (PAK) must be registered and loaded (see the Compaq= Fortran Installation Guide for OpenVMS Alpha Systems).F Both Compaq Fortran Version 7.5 compilers recognize the ProductB Authorization Key (PAK) for either Compaq Fortran or Compaq Fortran 77.E Copyright 2002 Compaq Information Technologies Group, L.P. Installation InformationE Installing Compaq Fortran requires the OpenVMS Alpha operating% system, Version 7.1 or higher.A You must install the Compaq Fortran Run-Time Library (RTL)D provided on the Compaq Fortran kit, which is more recent thanD the Compaq Fortran RTL shipped with OpenVMS Alpha Version 7.3 operating system.D If you need to install the Compaq Fortran RTL kit, install itG before you install Compaq Fortran. To install the Compaq FortranF RTL kit, the Compaq Fortran compiler, and/or the Compaq FortranC 77 compiler, use the POLYCENTER Software Installation (PCSI)D software (PRODUCT command) as described in the Compaq Fortran4 Installation Guide for OpenVMS Alpha Systems.E The Compaq Fortran installation guide describes how to installE the Compaq Extended Math Library (CXML), which is now includedG with Compaq Fortran.
