DIGITAL Read Before Installing or Using VAX DEC/Code Management System Version 3.4 AV-Z339J-TE Whether you are a new or a continuing VAX DEC/Code Management System (CMS) customer, please take time to read the following information about your product. Installation Information Version 3.4 of CMS requires VMS Version 5.3 or higher. The CMS DECwindows interface requires VMS Version 5.3 (running DECwindows Version 2.0) or higher. Previous versions of CMS do not need to be installed before this version. Before you install CMS Version 3.4, you must register the prod- uct using the Product Authorization Key (PAK) provided in the kit, or register an equivalent PAK (for example, the VAXset PAK). See the VMS License Management Utility Manual for regis- tration instructions. Release Notes Information The release notes for CMS Version 3.4 contain information on new features, functional enhancements, known problems and restric- tions, bug fixes, and documentation corrections. You can read the release notes before installing CMS by invoking VMSINSTAL and following the instructions in the installation guide. The release notes can be found in the SYS$HELP directory.
