Processor Restrictions

The VAX-11/782 processor is not supported by VMS Operating System V5.x.

The PrintServer Client software runs on the following VAX hardware:
  
Any valid VAX minimum system configuration with:

^ 2 megabytes of memory

^ DELUA or DEUNA or DEBNT Ethernet Controller Interface

^ 1600 BPI Tape drive, or TK50 tape drive

^ System disk 
  
Any valid MicroVAX or VAXstation system configuration with:

^ Minimum of two megabytes of memory

^ DEQNA or DELQA Ethernet Controller Interface

^ A TK50 tape drive 

^ RD52, RD53 or RD54 system disk

The PrintServer Client software requires that a minimum of one 
PrintServer (a PrintServer 20, a PrintServer 40, or a PrintServer 40 
Plus) is connected to the Ethernet physical channel with a transceiver 
cable and either an Ethernet transceiver (H4000) or the Local Network 
Interconnect (DELNI) or the ThinWire Ethernet Station Adapter (DESTA). 
  
Block Space Requirements (Block Cluster Size = 1):

Disk space required for installation:       		    3500 blocks  
							    (3.28M bytes)
 
Disk space required for use (permanent):    		    2700 blocks  
							    (1.38M bytes)
 
These counts refer to the disk space required on the system disk.  The 
sizes are approximations;  actual sizes may vary depending on the user's 
system environment, configuration and software options selected. 

OPTIONAL HARDWARE 

Additional PrintServers may be connected to the Ethernet physical 
channel. 

VAXCLUSTER ENVIRONMENT

This layered product is fully supported when installed on any valid and 
licensed VAXcluster* configuration without restrictions.  The HARDWARE 
REQUIREMENTS sections of this product's Software Product Description and 
System Support Addendum detail any special hardware required by this 
product.

* V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the VAXcluster 
  Software Product Description (29.78.xx) and include CI, Ethernet, and 
  Mixed Interconnect configurations.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

VMS Operating System V4.7, V5.0, V5.1, or V5.2

MicroVMS Operating System V4.7

DECnet-VAX V5.0, V5.1 or V5.2

VAX PrintServer Supporting Host Software V3.1 installed on one system on 
the same Ethernet.
