to look over the following information about this product.

DECintact V2.0 includes the following product enhancements:

o  Support for DECdtm, Digital's implementation of the two-phase commit
   protocol.

o  Support for VAX Rdb/VMS and VAX DBMS data management systems.

o  Support for DECforms forms management system.

o  Support for DECtrace.

o  Support for LSE templates.

o  Online error messages.

o  Avertz sample application.

o  Addition of three new manuals to the documentation set:

	DECintact Design Guide
	DECintact Getting Starting Manual
	DECintact Systems Commands Quick Reference Guide

o  Reorganization and rewrite of all existing documentation.

Please read the enclosed BOM. It is a list of all items included in this 
kit. Should this kit be damaged or incomplete, please call your Digital 
representative.


Release Notes Information
-------------------------

The release notes for DECintact V2.0 contain additional information that 
augments the original product information and indicates any changes and 
corrections made to this version.

You should read these release notes prior to completing the installation of 
the DECintact product. You will find the instructions for starting the 
installation in the Installation Guide.

To access the release notes follow Steps 1 through 6 in Chapter 2 of the 
Installation Guide. Step 6 will provide options for printing hardcopy or 
viewing the release notes online. At this point, stop and read the release 
notes before continuing with the installation.

Note that you must have VMS V5.4 or later to run DECintact V2.0.
