Defragmentation can occur only fromw4                  nodes that can access the database.  I               o  For Defrag PLUS, defragmentation can occur only on thosed3                  nodes running a scheduler process.b  D                  The scheduler creates defragmentation processes andB                  runs them as detached processes. Because of this,F                  defragmentation can occur only from nodes that have a#                  running scheduler.   B               o  After installation, install the latest version of;                  DCLTABLES.EXE on all nodes of your system.e  G                  To make the Disk File Optimizer available on all nodes F                  of the cluster, you should ensure that all nodes haveC                  the latest version of DCLTABLES.EXE installed. Use G                  SYSMAN or log in to each node in the cluster and enter_'                  the following command:   C                  $ INSTALL REPLACE SYS$COMMON:[SYSLIB]DCLTABLES.EXE.  G               o  Be sure to install Disk File Optimizer on both the VAXiF                  and Alpha system in your VMScluster if it is a mix of'                  VAX and Alpha systems.i  F               o  During installation of DFO on a cluster with multipleF                  system disks, you must shut down the scheduler beforeD                  starting the installation on the next node. After completion of installationD                  on all nodes, restart the scheduler on all licensedA                  nodes in the cluster. Use the following command:n  +                  $ @SYS$STARTUP:DFG$STARTUPu  >         1.2.7 Definition of SCSNODE or SYS$NODE Considerations  D               Defrag PLUS requires either SCSNODE (SYSGEN parameter)F               or SYS$NODE (DECnet logical) be defined on the node thatF               Disk File Optimizer is installed on. If both SCSNODE andI               SYS$NODE are NOT defined, the Disk File Optimizer scheduler                will not start.o  E               If the node is part of a cluster then SCSNODE has to benG               defined in SYSGEN. These components are not installed on OpenVMSvC               VAX V5.5-x and 6.0 systems unless you have previously G               installed them. This Disk File Optimizer kit includes the E               DEC C/C++ run-time components kit. During installation,eH               your version of SYS$LIBRARY:DECC$SHR.EXE is checked to seeF               if it is at V6.0 or greater. If the version is less, youE               are asked if you want to install the DEC C/C++ run-timeeF               components. You can get the release notes for the kit at               this time.  E               When the DEC C/C++ Run-Time Components kit is installed D               on an OpenVMS VAX Version 5.5, 5.5-1, or 5.5-2 system,E               some of the shareable image run-time components replacefE               older versions of existing OpenVMS components. This results in cache incoherency, and as aS0               result, directory file corruption.  "               Common symptoms are:  0               o  Out of order directory listings  >               o  Duplicate directory entries for the same file                 o  Lost files   B               o  Inconsistent directory listing on different nodes  C               o  Files appearing in directory listing which are not_G                  accessible from the RMS level (for example: you cannota                  type them).  E               This problem was fixed in OpenVMS V6.2 for VAX and AXP.   F               Before running Disk File Optimizer you should check thatD               you have installed the proper XQP patch to correct theB               above problem.
