Processor Restrictions

A TK50 Tape Drive is required for standalone MicroVAX 2000 and VAXstation
2000 systems.

The MUXserver 100 Remote Terminal Server software runs on either of the
following packaged hardware options:

DSRZA-BA MUXserver 100 Remote Terminal Server hardware,
factory set at 120V, including one Ethernet
connection, two composite link ports, and a
                        supervisory port.

DSRZA-BB MUXserver 100 Remote Terminal Server hardware,
factory set at 240V, including one Ethernet
connection, two composite link ports, and a
                        supervisory port.

The MUXserver 100 Remote Terminal Server hardware requires both a
transceiver drop cable and Ethernet connection (H4000, DECOM, DESTA, or
DELNI) to connect to the Ethernet physical channel. One or two DECmux II
units are also required for the remote location(s). The DECmux II must be
one of the following hardware options:

DFMZA-BA Remote Terminal multiplexer hardware, factory set
                        at 120V including RS-232-C/422 connectors for a
primary and route-through composite link port,
eight EIA RS-232-C/CCITT V.24 asynchronous lines
supporting speeds up to 19.2K bps.

DFMZA-BB Remote Terminal multiplexer hardware, factory set
                        at 240V including RS-232-C/422 connectors for a
primary and route-through composite link port,
eight EIA RS-232-C/CCITT V.24 asynchronous lines
supporting speeds up to 19.2K bps.

For each DECmux directly-connected terminal, workstation, or personal
Computer, order one BC22D-xx null modem, shielded cable.

Block Space Requirements (Block Cluster Size = 1):

Disk space required for installation:
								750 blocks
							       (384K bytes)

Disk space required for use (permanent):
								400 blocks
							     (204.8K bytes)

These counts refer to the disk space required on the system disk. The
sizes are approximate; actual sizes may vary depending on the user's system
environment, configuration, and software options.

OPTIONAL HARDWARE

Terminals Supported

The MUXserver 100 Remote Terminal Server software supports the following
Digital terminal devices that have keyboards:

oo LA12, LA34, LA35, LA36, LA38

oo VT52, VT100, VT101, VT102, VT125, VT131

oo VT220, VT240, VT241

oo VT320, VT330, VT340*

* The MUXserver 100 Remote Terminal Server does not support the
    multi-session capability of the VT340.

The asynchronous device ports support Digital's terminals and printers, but
NOT modems. Each device must meet the following DECmux II device interface
specifications:

 1. Each port is CCITT V.24/EIA RS-232-C and is terminated with a
       DB25-P connector.

 2. Data format is asynchronous start/stop, having 7 or 8 data
bits; 1 or 2 stop bits (1.5 stop bits for 5 data bits).

 3. Protocol is full duplex with optional local echo, XON/XOFF flow
       control.

 4. Speed is selected from one of the following: 75, 110, 134.5, 150,
       300, 600, 1200, 1800, 2000, 2400, 4800, 9600, or 19200; split speeds
       of 1200/75, 75/1200, 2400/150, 150/2400.

The MUXserver 100 Remote Terminal Server software also supports the
following Digital Personal Computers (PCs) in both terminal emulation mode
and file transfer mode.

oo The Professional 325, 350, 380

oo The Rainbow 100A, 100B, 100+, 190
