Whether you are a new or a continuing VAX Language-Sensitive Ed-
          itor/Source Code Analyzer
(VAX LSE/SCA) customer, please take time to read the following
          information about your product.

In our continuing effort to provide our customers with the
highest level of software functionality, Digital Equipment
Corporation has merged the VAX Language-Sensitive Editor (LSE)
and the VAX Source Code Analyzer (SCA). The new product name is
VAX LSE/SCA. The LSE and SCA software products will no longer be
          sold or serviced separately.

All LSE and SCA Software Product Service customers are automati-
          cally licensed to run
VAX LSE/SCA. Customers will begin receiving the combined product
          with Version 3.1.

The combined functionality provided by VAX LSE/SCA allows soft-
          ware developers to:

o Perform detailed program designs with pseudocode.

o Write, edit, compile, review, and correct compilation errors
without leaving the VAX LSE/SCA environment.

o Understand the complexities of entire software systems as
well as individual modules with a static analysis, cross-
             reference, and source-code navigation component.

o Produce a variety of reports based on program design informa-
tion in an SCA database, using Digital-supplied or customized
             design reports.

All of these features combine in the VAX LSE/SCA environment to
          improve programmer
          productivity.
