Block space requirements (Block Cluster Size =1):

Disk space required for installation of DECscan VMS driver: 863 blocks
                                                                 (442K bytes)

Disk space required for installation of DECscan ELN driver: 863 blocks
                                                                  (442K bytes)

Disk space required for use (permanent) of DECscan VMS driver: 528 blocks
                                                                    (270K bytes)

Disk space required for use (permanent) of DECscan ELN driver: 571 blocks
                                                                    (292K bytes)

These counts refer to the disk space required on the system
disk. The sizes are approximations; actual sizes may vary
depending on the users system environment, configuration and
software options selected.

OPTIONAL HARDWARE

Third-party products which conform to the Bitbus Standard.

CLUSTER ENVIRONMENT

For the DECscan VMS Driver:

This layered product is fully supported when installed on any valid
and licensed VAXcluster* configuration. It must be installed once on
each VAX, MicroVAX or VAXstation processor from which usage is planned.

In order to configure some product specific attributes that must remain
unique to each system, certain components of the product are stored in
the system specific environment, SYS$SPECIFIC:[SYSxxx], of the VAX,
MicroVAX or VAXstation processor on which the installation is performed.
The remaining components of the product, including some or all of the
executable images will be installed common to all accessing systems.

The HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS sections of this product's Software Product
Description and System Support Addendum detail any special hardware
required by this product.

* V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the VAXcluster
Software Product Description (SPD 29.78.xx) and include CI, Ethernet
  and Mixed Interconnect configurations.

For the DECscan ELN Driver:

This layered product is fully supported when installed on any valid
and licensed VAXcluster* configuration without restrictions. The HARDWARE
REQUIREMENTS sections of this product's Software Product Description and
System Support Addendum detail any special hardware required by this product.

* V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the VAXcluster
Software Product Description (29.78.xx) and include, CI, Ethernet, and
   Mixed Interconnect configurations.

ELN Target Systems

Finished VAXELN systems can be loaded and run on an IVAX (KA620,KA630)
MicroVAX II, MicroVAX 3500/3600, VAXstation II, VAXstation 3200/3500.
A VAXELN target system typically requires a memory configuration of 1MB and
a ROM based application could have as little as 256 Kbytes of physical memory
on the target system depending on the size of the user's programs and on the
toolkit components that are included.
The target computer must have a load device for loading the VAXELN system
image. The load device is either a TK50, RX50 or Ethernet adapter
(for downline loading). VAXELN Target systems can also be placed into ROM.
