Processors Not Supported

VAX-11/725, VAX-11/782, MicroVAX I, VAXstation I, VAXstation 8000

^ Minimum of 1 megabyte of memory

^ RD52 or larger system disk

^ VAXcluster environment

Processor Restriction

A TK50 Tape Drive is required for MicroVAX 2000 and VAXstation 2000 systems

Block Space Requirements: (Block Cluster Size = 1):

Disk space required for installation: 7500 blocks
                                            (3.8M byte)

Disk space required for use (permanent): 6500 blocks
                                            (3.5M byte)

These block counts refer to the disk space required on the system disk.
The sizes are approximations; actual sizes may vary depending on the
user's system environment, configuration and software options selected.

During the installation of this product, as described in the VAX DIBOL
Installation Notes, the installer is queried to determine which components
of VAX DIBOL are required, and only the required components will be
installed. For more detailed information, please consult the VAX DIBOL
Installation Notes.

OPTIONAL HARDWARE

Floating point intensive applications should be run on configurations with
the appropriate hardware support for the floating point data types being
used. Consult the base operating system Software Product Description
for the Floating Point Accelerator or other floating point hardware
appropriate for your configuration.

VAXCLUSTER ENVIRONMENT

This layered product is fully supported when installed on any valid and
licensed VAXcluster* configuration, with the following exception: The DIBOL
SEND and RECV statements allow the transmission of data between separate
processes running on the same node of a cluster. However, these statements
do not support the transmission of data between processes running on separate
cluster nodes.

*V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the VAXcluster
Software Product Description (29.78.xx) and include CI, Ethernet and
 Mixed Interconnect configurations.
