The following sections contain> information on how to perform these functions.F ______________________________________________________> Increasing System Page Table Entries (SPTEs)(VAX Only)B The number of SPTEs is determined by the size of theD DECram disk to be created. All SPTEs must be availableD contiguously or the configuration procedure will fail.B Additional SPTEs for a DECram disk can be created byE increasing the size of the system parameter SPTREQ. UsedG the following algorithm to determine the SPTREQ increase:kF (Size of DECram disk in blocks + 127)/128 + 128 = SPTREQ increaseE For example, the following algorithm determines that anoE SPTREQ increase of 207 is required for a DECram disk of 10,000 blocks:* ((10,000+127)/128)+128 = 207I Preparing to Install DECram for OpenVMS 1-3 / Preparing to Install DECram for OpenVMS + Installation Procedure Requirements9 Increasing the System Parameter SPTREQ (VAX Only)lF If the current value of SPTREQ is inadequate for a givenE disk, the system must be rebooted to allow for a largereC value. Therefore, Compaq recommends that you increaselF the SPTREQ value to a multiple of 128.
