VAX Xway V1.2 Cover Letter

          Enclosed is the VAX Xway Version 1.2 Kit. The kit includes
          documentation and software for VAX Xway.

          The kit contains fixes to problems found in V1.1A and additional
          features documented in the VAX Xway V1.2 Release Notes which may
          be found on-line, in the installation kit.

          The kit contains the following items:

          o  This cover letter

          o  The Version 1.2 installation media

          o  VAX Xway V1.2 Installation Guide

          To install the kit, please follow the procedure in the VAX Xway
          V1.2 Installation Guide.

          Highlights of Version 1.2 include the following:

          o  VAX Xway now supports DECalc V3.1 input and output files.

          o  VAX Xway now uses the License Management Facility (LMF).

          o  VAX Xway now provides better recovery from "unsupported
             record type" errors.

          o  VAX Xway now provides support for ADA and BASIC programming
             using the callable interface routines.

          o  VAX Xway V1.2 provides two new callable interface routines.

             callable interface routines.
