Any valid MicroVAX II system configuration with: o Minimum of one megabyte of memory (need to check on megabyte) o TK50 tape drive for installation of the software o RD-Series system disk Any valid VAXstation II system configuration with: o Minimum of one megabyte of memory (Need to check on megabyte) o TK50 tape drive for installation of the software o RD-Series System disk Disk Space Requirements The amount of disk space required to install and use VAX VTX depends on which VAX VTX components are installed. The VTX installation provides a conversational option which allows customers to tailor the VTX environment on a system, according to expected usage. The following presents estimates for three common VTX software configurations: 2 VAX VTX, Version 4.1 SSA 26.57.11-A Disk space requirements for VAX VTX subscriber components (TCP/CON, etc.) Block Space Requirements (Block Cluster Size = 1): Disk space required for 10,800 blocks installation: (5.5M bytes) After installation: 4,700 blocks (2.4M bytes) Disk space requirements for full VAX VTX system, excluding TSM sources: During Installation: 21,500 blocks (11.0M bytes) After Installation: 8,700 blocks (4.5M bytes) 3 VAX VTX, Version 4.1 SSA 26.57.11-A Disk space requirements for full VAX VTX system, including TSM sources: During Installation: 41,000 blocks (21.0M bytes) After Installation: 22,000 blocks (11.3M bytes) These counts refer to the disk space required on the system disk. The sizes are approximate; actual sizes may vary depending on the user's system environment, configurations, and software options. OPTIONAL HARDWARE The following terminals are supported for subscriber use: o VT100 series o VT200 series (LK201 support) o VT300 series o PC100, 200, 300 (Any Digital terminal in VT100 mode) o NORPAK MARK IV NAPLPS o SONY NAPLPS o PRO/NAPLPS Terminal Emulator on the Professional 350 o RAINBOW/NAPLPS o PRESTEL class terminals (Level 1)* o DECtalk with touch-tone keyboard** o IBM PC XT (VT100 mode) o LOEWE CEPT o VAXstation (full screen support) o VTX20 Terminal 4 VAX VTX, Version 4.1 SSA 26.57.11-A o French Minitel o IBM 3270 Data Stream Terminals o MS-DOS compatible PCs The following terminal servers are supported for use with the VTX concentrator: o DECserver 200, DECserver 500, and DECserver 550 * Level 1 signifies ability to retrieve and view PRESTEL pages. * *DECtalk (telephone keypad) is supported for the Concentrator only, using dialup ports.
