          PDP-11 C Version 1.1 is a reliable product that is
          highly compatible with the ANSI Standard for the C lan-
          guage. PDP-11 C Version 1.1 is a C language processor
          for Digital's major operating systems on the PDP-11.
          Because C can be used to program system applications,
          PDP-11 C Version 1.1 is an alternative to MACRO-11.
          This allows users to use a high-level language to write
          code for inclusion into resident libraries, device
          drivers, and other low-level system routines.

          Additionally, the PDP-11 C Version 1.1 compiler:

          o  Runs native on the supported host systems and pro-
             duces PDP-11 object files compatible with the RSX
             Task Builder and the RT-11 Linker.

          o  Is a cross-compiler in the VMS host environment.

          o  Is a native compiler in the RT-11, RSX and RSTS/E
             host environments.

          o  Incorporates features that are commonly regarded as
             fundamental to the C language.
