Processor Restrictions

A TK50 tape drive is required for standalone MicroVAX 2000 and 
VAXstation 2000 systems.

Block Space Requirements (Block Cluster Size = 1):

Disk space required for installation:         500 blocks

Disk space required for use (permanent):      500 blocks  
                                              (250K bytes)

These counts refer to the disk space required on the system disk.  The sizes
are approximate; actual sizes may vary depending on the user's system
environment, configuration, and software options.  

OPTIONAL HARDWARE

One to eight KMV1A devices installed on a Q-bus type processor such as a
MicroVAX II.  

Note: The KMV1A devices are considered optional for the purpose of the 
      installation of the VAXELN KMV1A Tool Kit.  After the Tool Kit
      modules have been included in the system builds, execution of the
      system images created will require access up to 8 KMV1A devices
      installed on a Q-bus type processor.  It should further be noted
      that although 8 KMV1A devices may execute concurrently, the Tool
      Kit modules associated with a remote debug operation may only be
      included in a system build to connect one selected KMV1A on the 
      Q-bus processor.  

VAXCLUSTER ENVIRONMENT

This layered product is fully supported when installed on any valid and 
licensed VAXcluster* configuration without restrictions.  The HARDWARE 
REQUIREMENTS sections of this product's Software Product Description and
System Support Addendum detail any special hardware required by this product.

*V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the VAXcluster 
 Software Product Description (29.78.xx) and include CI, Ethernet, and Mixed
 Interconnect configurations.

NOTE: Since the VAX-11 RSX and the VAXELN Toolkit are defined as optional
      software for the purpose of the installation of the VAXELN KMV1A Tool 
      Kit, this optional software must be installed for system builds using 
      Toolkit modules and for the subsequent execution of the created 
      system images.  

GROWTH CONSIDERATIONS

The minimum hardware/software requirements for any future version of 
this product may be different from the minimum requirements for the current 
version.
