     These counts refer to the disk space required on the system
     disk. The sizes are approximate; actual sizes may vary depending
     on the user's system environment, configuration, and software
     options.

     For optional software (DECnet-VAX), the system must, in addi-
     tion, meet the corresponding requirements. Consult the DECnet-
     VAX Software Product Description (SPD 25.03.xx) for a complete
     description.

     Physical memory: at least 1.5 Mbytes

     Non-paged dynamic pool: none

     CLUSTER ENVIRONMENT

     This layered product is fully supported when installed on any
     valid and licensed VAXcluster* configuration without restric-
     tions. The HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS sections of this product's
     Software Product Description and System Support Addendum detail
     any special hardware required by this product.

     *  V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the
        VAXcluster Software Product Description (29.78.xx) and in-
        clude CI, Ethernet, and Mixed interconnect configurations.

     Though the product's images will exist in the common system di-
     rectory and will be executable by all VAX computers sharing this
     directory, it is essential that all VAX systems of a VAXcluster
     requiring access be licensed.

     SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

     VMS Operating System V5.2-1-V5.4

     DECnet-VAX (either end-node or full-functional) both on the
     connector node(s) and on the node where installation occurs.

     VAX ISDN V1.1 on at least one of the connector node(s).

     VMS Tailoring

     For VMS V5.x systems, the following VMS classes are required for
     full functionality of this layered product:

     o  VMS Required Saveset

     o  Network Support

     o  Programming Support

     o  Utilities

     For more information on VMS classes and tailoring, refer to
     the VMS Operating System Software Product Description (SPD
     25.01.xx).

     GROWTH CONSIDERATIONS

     The minimum hardware/software requirements for any future ver-
     sion of this product may be different from the requirements for
     the current version.
