Read This Before Installing Your IEEE488 Bus Converter (IEZ11)

IEZ11 Micro Code

The IEZ11 software Version 1.0 runs only on a SCSI488/D with micro code 
revision 4.1 or higher.  The IEZ11 software does not work with SCSI488/D 
prototypes.  All SCSI488/Ds ordered through normal channels have the correct 
version of the micro code installed. You can determine the micro code revision 
from the Installation Verification Procedure (IVP).  To run the IVP enter the 
following command line:
                                                        
	$ RUN  SYS$SYSTEM:IEZ11$IVP. 

Product Installation 

Before installing your hardware and software, first read the IEZ11 Hardware 
Installation Guide and IEZ11 Software Installation Guide, as well as the 
release notes, supplied on the software media, to familiarize yourself with 
the product.  Pay particular attention to configuration and termination rules. 

License Installation

Before installing your IEZ11 software Version 1.0, you must first install the
license. You can install the license at the DCL level by entering the following 
command line:  

	$ @SYS$UPDATE:VMSLICENSE

Servicing the IEZ11

Your IEZ11 contains no internal user-selectable or user-serviceable parts. The 
supply voltage rating is set at the factory.  All repairs and modifications 
must be performed by qualified personnel.
