                       Before You Install DECforms Version 1.3

          This package contains the DECforms software, installation in-
          structions, and user documentation. (The DECforms software is
          also referred to as DECforms.)

          Contents of This Kit

          o  Bill of Materials

             Please read the Bill of Materials enclosed in the transparent
             plastic envelope. Check to see that all items listed are
             in your kit. If any items are missing, contact your Digital
             representative.

          o  Media

             If you have ordered media, you will find the media and the
             DECforms Installation Guide (Order No. AA-LC23D-TE) in this
             kit. This manual supplies the information you need to install
             DECforms on a VMS system.

          o  Documentation

             If you have ordered a full development kit or a documentation-
             only kit, you will receive a DECforms documentation set,
             which includes the following manuals:

                DECforms Guide to Developing Forms (Order No. AA-LC17A-TE)
                DECforms Guide to Programming (Order No. AA-LC20A-TE)
                DECforms Reference Manual (Order No. AA-LC19B-TE)
                DECforms Guide to Converting VAX TDMS Applications (Order
                No. AA-LC22B-TE)
                DECforms Guide to Converting VAX FMS Applications (Order
                No. AA-LC21A-TE)

             Each manual contains two Reader's Comments forms at the back
             so that you can provide us with your comments on the quality
             of our documentation and so that you can report any errors
             you may find.

          o  Software Product Description (SPD)

             The SPD provides an overview of the DECforms kit and its
             features.

          o  Software Performance Report (SPR)

             If you have purchased warranty services, you can use this
             form to report any problems with DECforms.

          Installation and Release Notes Information

          You should read the DECforms Installation Guide before in-
          stalling DECforms. You must have Version 5.0 or higher of the
          VMS operating system installed on your system before you can
          install DECforms Version 1.3.

          The release notes for DECforms contain information such as re-
          strictions, known problems, and documentation errors or addi-
          tions. You can read the release notes before installing DECforms
          by invoking VMSINSTAL and following the instructions in the DEC-
          forms Installation Guide. You can locate the release notes after
          installing DECforms by entering the following DCL command:

               $ HELP FORMS RELEASE_NOTES <Return>
