          Read Before Installing Digital Extended Math Library
          for VMS Version 1.0

          Dear DXML Customer:

          We are pleased to provide you with Version 1.0 of the
          Digital Extended Math Library. Please take the time to
          read the following information about the product.

          Installation Information

          Digital Extended Math Library (DXML) for VMS Version 1.0
          requires VMS Version 5.4.

          Release Notes Information

          The release notes for DXML Version 1.0 may contain
          important installation-related instructions, a summary
          of features, known problems, performance enhancements,
          documentation errors, restrictions, or incompatibili-
          ties. After installation, the online release notes can
          be found in SYS$HELP:DXML010.RELEASE_NOTES.

          Contents of This Kit

          o  Indented Bill Report (BIL) and Bill of Materials (BOM)

             Please read the BIL and BOM enclosed in this kit and
             check to see that all items listed are actually in
             your kit. If your kit is damaged or any items are
             missing, call your Digital representative.

          o  Distribution Media

             DXML is available on tape and also on CDROM as
             part of VMS Consolidated Software Distribution.
             Consult the installation guide for information about
             installing DXML on your system.

          o  Documentation

             The DXML documentation set includes the following
             documents:

                Digital Extended Math Library Installation Guide
                Guide to the Digital Extended Math Library
                Digital Extended Math Library Quick Reference Card

             Each guide contains preaddressed, postage-paid
             Reader's Comments forms at the back. If you find
             errors in a document or want to make comments about
             it, please fill out one of these forms and send it
             to us.

          o  Software Product Description (SPD)

             The SPD provides an overview of the DXML kit and its
             features.

          o  System Support Addendum (SSA)

             The SSA describes the technical environment that
             supports DXML.

          o  Software Performance Report (SPR)

             The SPR is a form on which you can report any prob-
             lems with DXML, provided you have purchased warranty
             services.
