          Dear VAX DOCUMENT Customer:

          Please read the following information about VAX DOC-
          UMENT Version 2.0. This overview will help you get
          started using the product quickly and smoothly.

          New and continuing VAX DOCUMENT customers should re-
          ceive the following:

          o  The media required for Version 2.0 of VAX DOCUMENT

          o  User documentation

          o  Supplemental materials and any additionally ordered
             items

          Product Description

          VAX DOCUMENT Version 2.0 is a major enhancement to
          Version 1.2. Version 2.0 adds the following features to
          Version 1.2 functionality:

          o  Full support of the DECwindows Bookreader, including
             the BOOKREADER destination and the following online
             doctypes:

             -  MANUAL.ONLINE

             -  SOFTWARE.ONLINE

             -  MILSPEC.ONLINE

          o  Support for creating graphics for compound docu-
             ments using the VAX DOCUMENT Graphics Editor, which
             includes the following features:

             -  A DECwindows-based interface to a comprehensive
                set of graphics-generating functions

             -  Screen capture

             -  The ability to rapidly scan graphics files

             -  The ability to separate text from a graphic to
                allow independent editing and manipulation

             -  Rendering of generated graphics for printing or
                for inclusion in Bookreader documents

             -  A user-extensible clip-art library

          o  New and revised documentation to support new fea-
             tures and enhance usability. The documents also run
             on Bookreader.

          o  Support of blank-page insertion for printing on
             duplex PostScript[TM] devices.

          o  Support of the ISO Latin-1 character set.

          o  Support for monospaced PostScript fonts to comple-
             ment available sizes for proportional text fonts.

          o  Improved indexer.

          o  Corrected security markings in the MILSPEC doctype.

          MENT contain information on known problems, documenta-
          tion errors, and restrictions.

          You can read the release notes for VAX DOCUMENT by
          invoking VMSINSTAL and following the instructions in
          the VAX DOCUMENT Installation Guide. The release notes
          are located in the file SYS$HELP:DOC020.RELEASE_NOTES,
          which you can display or print.

             This is the authorization key you need to install
             and run VAX DOCUMENT. Please consult the VAX DOCU-
             MENT Installation Guide about how to install your
             PAK.

             Your SPD provides an overview of the VAX DOCUMENT
             kit and its features.

          o  Software Performance Report (SPR)

             Use this form to report any problems with VAX DOC-
             UMENT (provided you have purchased warranty ser-
             vices).
