          DIGITAL  is pleased to announce VAX Decision Expert
          software V1.0. This release requires the installation
          of VMS V5.1. It also requires the VMS DECwindows desk-
          top environment. Refer to the VAX Decision Expert V1.0
          Release Notes for other specific resource requirements.

          Documentation

          VAX Decision Expert Version 1.0 documentation includes
          the following:

          o  The VAX Decision Expert Version User Manual, which
             describes the features, concepts, and procedures
             users need in order to build applications using VAX
             Decision Expert software.

          o  The VAX Decision Expert Reference Manual, which
             describes

             -  Commands used with the entry screen

             -  Commands for editing tables and trees

             -  The utility language

             -  Commands for window manipulation

             -  Related DCL functions

          o  The VAX Decision Expert Installation Guide, which
             describes how to install and verify the VAX Decision
             Expert software.

          o  The VAX Decision Expert Reference Card, which gives
             a listing of all the keys and commands used during
             application development.

          o  The VAX Decision Expert Release Notes, which de-
             scribes the restrictions, changes in the documenta-
             tion, and software.

          Installation

          Installation of VAX Decision Expert Version 1.0 re-
          quires that your system be running VMS Version 5.1 and
          VMS DECwindows. If you are running any other version of
          VMS, you need to update it. Refer to the VMS Version
          5.1 Installation Guide for details on how to update
          your system. Note that this software does not conform
          to the XUI Style Guide.
