The coaX-A (R) protocol that is understood by the 3270 displays and cluster controller is subject to interpretation by the plug-compatible vendors. As a result, (INCLUDING THOSE LISTED ABOVE) any non-IBM 3270 displays, PCs (with 3270 Emu- lation packages), or cluster controllers could exhibit certain anomolies that will vary from vendor to vendor, model to model, or revision level of the device. In addition to US, French, German and British supported in Version 1.0, the following keyboard tables are also supplied: Danish Italian Dutch Norwegian Finnish Spanish Flemish Swedish 7 3270 Terminal Option Software, Version 1.1 SSA 25.G5.01-A French/BelgiaSwiss/French French/CanadiSwiss/German Enhanced Support for Non-EAB and EAB Monochrome Displays Non-EAB displays, such as the IBM 3278, IBM 3178 and IBM 3191, do not use an extended attributes plane to perform highlight- ing/bolding etc. Prior to Version 1.1, non-EAB displays attached to the CXM04, could not indicate any such attributes in VT-mode, making applications such as spellchecker difficult. Version 1.1 provides an option for a non-EAB display user to select or deselect 'ATTRIBUTE ON' in VT-mode Setup. When ATTRIBUTE ON is selected, highlighted words or fields are identified as blinking. Enhanced support is also provided for EAB Monochrome displays such as the IBM 3180 and IBM 3192-D. These displays could only indicate limited attributes such as underlining. Support is now provided for reverse video as an indication of a bolded field. CLUSTER ENVIRONMENT This layered product is fully supported when installed on any valid and licensed VAXcluster* configuration without restric- tions. The HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS sections of this product's Software Product Description and System Support Addendum detail any special hardware required by this product. * V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the VAXcluster Software Product Description (29.78.xx) and in- clude CI, Ethernet and Mixed Interconnect configurations. DECnet is used for down-line loading the 3270 Terminal Option Software into the CXM04 units and for other maintenance operations such as loop testing, upline dumping, and remote management. All 3270 Terminal Option Software that runs on the CXM04 hard- ware is down-line loaded over the network from a DECnet-VAX Version 5.0 node. This node must be a valid VMS.
