              license for the above mentioned product, please read the
              rest of this letter. It contains important license and
              product information.

              If the hardware you have purchased does NOT include a
              software license for the above mentioned product, please
              disregard this letter; it does not apply.

              One way to identify whether or not you are licensed to use
              the above mentioned product is by looking at the HARDWARE
              MODEL NUMBER that you purchased:

              o  If the number contains an "R" in the fifth position, you
                 purchased this hardware with a license.

              o  If the number contains a "U" in the fifth position, you
                 purchased this hardware without a license.

              This product does not include support for the License
              Management Facility. A Product Authorization Key is not
              required for use of this product, or for proof of license.

              YOUR INVOICE WILL SERVE AS PROOF OF LICENSE FOR THIS
              HARDWARE PRODUCT AND ITS ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE PER THE
              LICENSE MODEL NUMBER LISTED ABOVE. You should keep the
              invoice and this document as valuable proof of purchase
              for your software license. This document in itself does not
              constitute a software license.

              The above mentioned software license is subject to
              Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions.

              The software may be installed on a processor or equipment
              configuration specified in the associated Software Product
              Description and only executed on the hardware purchased
              with this license. Please refer to the corresponding System
              Support Addendum for further details.

                    DECprint Printing Services for VMS, Version 4.0

                                      QL-YNCA9-AA

              If this PostScript printer comes with a license for
              DECprint Printing Services for VMS Version 4.0 software
              (QL-YNCA9-AA), the following product information will be
              important to you.

              This software enables the printer to be configured
              as a networked printer in the VMS operating system
              environment. It also enables users to print files that
              contain PostScript operators using the standard VMS PRINT
              command. DECprint Printing Services software provides
              extended printing options which allow users to specify
              the following:

              o  Simplex or duplex printing

              o  Landscape or portrait orientation

              o  Multiple pages per sheet

              o  Scaling of PostScript images

              You can obtain more information about using and managing
              PostScript printers with DECprint Printing Services
              software from the DECprint Printing Services software media
              and documentation kit. You need the kit to run the DECprint
              Printing Services software. The media and documentation kit
              is available through regular Digital ordering channels:

              o  Model QA-YNCAA-H5 provides documentation and a TK50
                 cartridge.

              o  Model QA-YNCAA-HM provides documentation and a magnetic
                 tape.
