Note also that the VT1200 and DECstations are supported solely as display devices as supported by the X11 protocol. Processor Restrictions Refer to the ALL-IN-1, Version 2.4 (SSA 27.30.04-x) for proces- sor restrictions. Refer to the DECwrite for VMS, Version 1.1 (SSA 25.F7.00-x) for processor restrictions when using DECwrite. 2 ALL-IN-1 Services for DECwindows, Version 1.0 SSA 33.22.00-A Refer to the DECnet PCSA Client for DOS, Version 3.0 (SSA 55.07.08-x) for processor restrictions when using the PC DECwin- dows Display Facility. Required Disk Space Installing ALL-IN-1 Services requires the following total amounts of disk space: o For a full kit: 37,900 blocks during the installation and 14,000 after the installation o For an additional language: 29,600 blocks during the instal- lation and 12,130 after an installation. 3 ALL-IN-1 Services for DECwindows, Version 1.0 SSA 33.22.00-A The following table shows the disk space divided among three disks. Users can use fewer disks, but still need the same total amount of free blocks. ________________________________________________________________ During After Disk____________Installation__Installation______________________ For a Full Kit: System Disk 14,050 300 ALL-IN-1 3,350 3,350 Services Disk ALL-IN-1 20,500 10,350 disk[1] For an Additional Language[2]: System Disk 13,900 30 ALL-IN-1 2,250 2,250 Services disk ALL-IN-1 13,450 9,850 disk[1]_________________________________________________________ [1]The space on the ALL-IN-1 disk refers only to the space that ALL-IN-1 Services uses. It does not include the space that ALL- IN-1 uses. 4 ALL-IN-1 Services for DECwindows, Version 1.0 SSA 33.22.00-A [2]An additional language assumes that you have already in- stalled the full kit and are now installing only the language- dependent files for a specific language. These counts refer to the disk space required on the system disk. The sizes are approximate; actual sizes may vary depending on the user's system environment, configuration, and software options. Memory Requirements A minimum of 16 MB memory is required to operate ALL-IN-1 Ser- vices for DECwindows V1.0, ALL-IN-1 V2.4, and DECwrite V1.1 running in a standalone DECwindows environment with both the client and server executing on the same system. A minimum of 14 MB memory is required to operate ALL-IN-1 Ser- vices for DECwindows and ALL-IN-1 V2.4 running in a standalone DECwindows environment with both the client and server executing on the same system. The performance and memory usage of DECwindows applications are particularly sensitive to system configuration. Less memory may be required on the client system (the system where the software is installed and executed) if the server (the component that displays the application) resides on another system. More memory may be required on a system with several applications running or may be desirable to improve the performance of an application. For V5.x VAXcluster configurations please see the VAXcluster Software Product Description (29.78.xx). CLUSTER ENVIRONMENT This layered product is fully supported when installed on any valid and licensed VAXcluster* configuration without restric- tions. The HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS sections of this product's Software Product Description and System Support Addendum detail any special hardware required by this product. 5 ALL-IN-1 Services for DECwindows, Version 1.0 SSA 33.22.00-A * V5.x VAXcluster configurations are fully described in the VAXcluster Software Product Description (29.78.xx) and in- clude CI, Ethernet and Mixed Interconnect configurations.
